This is a home for 12 girls in the age group 8 to 12 years, who came from very threatened environments . Mothers willingly hand over their daughters to be reared by JKPS , with both love and care. The girls grow up in a safe environment to become useful citizens of India. All the girls go to schools nearby.
The construction of the home for children coming from difficult circumstances has been completed. Our home seeks to place them in a very healthy environment, providing them with proper care , housing and schooling. Our facility can provide such benefits to 15 boys. The home also provides tuitions and extracurricular activities such as drawing and music classes to these children. Few of our children have started going to school since August 2015. It was a blessing to see their excitement on their first day of school.
This counseling center, for sex workers and their children, is situated in Sonagachi, the biggest red light area in Asia. There are many challenges while working in this area, yet it is a joy to see them regularly attending the various programmes that are conducted here for helping them physically and emotionally. Summer Camps are also conducted here for children during their summer break.
